1- Submissions may include photographs, illustrations, collages, paintings, graphic design work, comics, sculptures (photographic reproduction), design of jewels (photographic reproduction) and literary texts in the form of poetry and hyper-short stories (maximum 100 words). In the case of the literary field, the texts may be in any language but authors must provide as well the translation of the text in one or various of the following languages: Castilian-Spanish, Catalan-Valencian or Toki Pona be provided.
2- Each participant may participate with only one work.
3- The specific method for selecting the awarded artistic works will be announced after the submission deadline (i.e., after December 1th). All the participants will compete for the FRACASARTE award, consisting of a statuette (by artist Montse de Mateo [art co-director of the magazine]) and a cash prize of 150 euros.
4- The deadline for sending submissons ends on December 1th (EXTENDED UNTIL DECEMBER 31), 2013. Submissions must be sent to email@example.com
5- Participant must submit also the following data in a Word or PDF file to the same email address (firstname.lastname@example.org): name, address, email and telephone.
6- All images submitted must meet the following characteristics :
- In JPG format.
- Minimum resolution of 300 ppp.
- Neither side be less than 1000 pixels.
- The size of the files must be less than 5 Megabytes (Mb).
7- The FRACASARTE prize will be awarded to one of these nine finalists. The name of the winner will be disclosed during the presentation of the number 9 of Bostezo magazine devoted to “Failure”.
8- The prize may be declared “not awarded” only if none of the works presented have insufficient quality required.
9- The awarded work will be published in Bostezo magazine. Bostezo may also consider the publication of other works. All participants submissions may be published in the magazine, uploaded in the web www.revistabostezo.com, uploaded in the social media accounts owned by Bostezo and/or included in an exhibition organized by the Cultural Association Bostezo. By participating in the contest, the authors allow the publication and dissemination of the works presented.
10- The authors of the selected works will provide their work in proper conditions for its publication in the journal.
11- The authorship of each published work will be included in the magazine or on the web www.revistabostezo.com.
12- Participation in the contest implies that the author/s have recognized authorship rights on the works presented. Therefore, there can be no claims for royalties or copyright. Bostezo magazine will be exempt from liability if there be any conflict regarding copyrights of the submitted works.
13- Any circumstance regarding this contest and not reflected in these rules will be finally decided by the organization.
14- Participation in the competition implies the acceptance of these rules.
